Why We Created Steward Horse
If you have ever managed an equestrian operation, trained horses, planned a group trail ride, coordinated care across a team of riders, vets, and farriers, or simply tried to keep one horse's records organized on your phone, you know the reality: sticky notes on the tack room wall, spreadsheets that no one updates, and group texts that scroll past the important stuff.
Steward Horse started with a simple question — why isn't there a better way to do this?
We looked at the tools available to equestrians and found two extremes: expensive enterprise software built for industrial agriculture, or generic apps that don't understand the difference between a farrier visit and a vet check. Neither felt right. And neither served the full breadth of the equestrian world — from the weekend trail rider to the professional competition trainer, from the small boarding operation to the working ranch.
So we set out to build something different. Something designed specifically for the people who live and breathe horses — individual owners keeping records for one beloved horse, groups of friends coordinating weekend rides, riding clubs managing events and memberships, trainers planning lessons and tracking progress, facility managers overseeing dozens of boarders, outfitters running guided trail trips, ranchers managing large herds across thousands of acres, and the veterinarians, farriers, and other professionals who serve them all.
Steward Horse is not a tool for one type of equestrian. It is a platform for the entire community — from the person who just bought their first horse to the operation that has been running for generations. We built it so that every person in the equestrian world can find their place here, with exactly the features they need and none of the complexity they don't.
